Kantrowitz, Goldhamer & Graifman, P.C., is currently investigating Prosper Marketplace, Inc. (“Prosper”) regarding a data breach of personal information. Prosper operates as a lending platform, through which borrowers can connect directly with investors to fund personal loans. Prosper is based in San Francisco, California.
On or about September 2, 2025, Prosper first learned that there was unauthorized access to the company’s computer system on its network. After investigating the data breach, Prosper conclusively determined that personal identity information and financial information had been accessed and copied and began notifying customers on September 17, 2025. Prosper disclosed that hackers gained unauthorized access to the following sensitive information:
- Full names
- Social security numbers
- Addresses
- Dates of birth
- Phone numbers
- Email addresses
- Loan amounts
- Payment histories
