What are the laws that protect people from employment discrimination?

There are both federal and state laws protecting people from discrimination. Those laws protect people in certain classes from being treated differently or discriminated against. If you are in one of those classes, you may have a claim. Those classes are if you are being discriminated against because of your sex, because of your race, because of your color, because of your national origin, because of your religion, because of your disability. Then you may have a claim as a result of that under the federal and state laws.
