A court can order and direct drug testing or alcohol testing for parents who are going to have either visitation or custody. This will not happen unless one parent or the other has voiced a concern about the other person’s conduct. In addition, they can also direct forensic psychiatric examinations if one party or the other thinks that the other person might be a danger to their children.
