VOLKSWAGEN Water Pump Defect Class Action

The firm is currently litigating a putative class action involving a potential defect in the water pumps of 2008 — 2014 model year Volkswagen and Audi vehicles equipped with the 2.0L TSI / TFSI engine. This suit alleges that the engines in these vehicles are prone to experiencing premature failure of their water pump components before the end of the useful life of the vehicles and well before consumers reasonably expect any such failure to occur. The water pump defect also subjects class engines to coolant loss and engine overheating which could lead to catastrophic engine failure. The suit seeks reimbursement of the cost of repair and/or replacement of the defective water pumps.
