Trend Micro Class Action Litigation Attorneys

Internet Security Software Subscription Renewal Lawyers

The firm is co-counsel in a class action against Trend Micro Inc. (“Trend Micro”). This consumer class action is brought on behalf of all persons and entities in the U.S. that extended a software subscription with Trend Micro at Trend Micro’s online subscription renewal center website prior to the expiration of their existing Trend Micro software subscription, and who lost the time remaining on their existing subscription.

Trend Micro provides computer security software that must be continuously updated to perform reliably. Protection update subscriptions can last between one and three years, and then must be extended. Trend Micro’s software is designed to remind the customer up to 90 days in advance of the current subscription expiring. Customers who followed the link to Trend Micro’s website and extended their subscriptions online lost the balances of their existing subscriptions because the extension period begins on the date of the renewal.
