KGG Investigating TRESemmé Keratin Hair Smoothing Shampoo and TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Color Shampoo for failure to warn consumers that these products contain ingredients that can cause significant hair loss and scalp irritation.
Consumers who claim that the TRESemmé Keratin shampoos have been designed defectively say that the use of DMDM hydantoin, a key ingredient, is not necessary. DMDM hydantoin is meant to prevent microorganism growth. Unfortunately, the US FDA also considers DMDM hydantoin to be one of the top allergens causing “the most allergic reactions from the use of cosmetic products.”
