Sam Smith has been an Associate at Kantrowitz, Goldhamer & Graifman, P.C. since 2019, where he has focused on employment and commercial litigation on both the plaintiff and defense side. The majority of his matters involve claims arising under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (“ADEA”), Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”), and New York State Human Rights Law. He has handled hundreds of cases in federal, state, and local courts, as well as administrative matters before the New York State Division of Human Rights and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (“EEOC”).

Sam has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a Juris Doctor from Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, where he was an Articles Editor for the Hofstra Law Review and had a Note published titled Show Me the Mediation!: Introducing Mediation Prior to Salary Arbitration in Major League Baseball. He is admitted to practice before New York State Courts and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
