Kate Carballo, Esq.

For over a decade, KGG Partner Kate Carballo has devoted her practice to helping those who have been seriously injured due to no fault of their own. As a trial attorney licensed in New York and New Jersey, she is a passionate and strong advocate for her clients who have been treated unfairly by large institutions like the insurance companies. Kate strives to keep our communities safe from needless dangers by representing victims who suffered injuries in motor vehicle, Uber/Lyft crashes; truck and bus accident victims; those injured as a result of medical and dental malpractice; construction site accident victims; and those who were injured due to a fall down/ slip and fall that occurred on commercial or public property.

One example of Kate’s success is her representation of a 32 year old musician who was injured in a car accident.  The client suffered herniated discs in his neck and back. Refusing to accept a $6,000 offer made by the insurance company, Kate went to trial and obtained a jury verdict of $795,000.

Based upon her successful trial results and proven qualifications Kate has been certified by the Supreme Court of the State of New Jersey as a Certified Civil Trial Attorney-a distinction currently held by only 2% of all attorneys in New Jersey. With an extensive background in personal injury litigation and a personalized approach in working with clients, Kate adds a new dimension to KGG’s established history and reputation for obtaining outstanding results for their clients.

Kate completed her undergraduate studies at The George Washington University’s prestigious Elliott School of International Affairs where she received her B.A. in international affairs with a concentration in international political economy. She subsequently earned her J.D. law degree from the St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami, FL. While attending law school, Kate was an active member and mentor of the Intercultural Human Rights Law Review, recipient of the Dean’s List award, and served on the executive board of the Phi Alpha Delta Academic Fraternity. Kate is fluent in Russian, speaks Spanish and lives in Woodcliff Lake, NJ with her husband and three children.  She is an active member of the Bergen County Bar Association, New Jersey Association for Justice and American Association for Justice and is frequently asked to lecture on various topics during annual legal seminars.
