The Firm is co-counsel in a putative class action on behalf of all purchasers or leasees of Model year 2005 Infiniti G35 vehicles. The complaint alleges that these vehicles have a defective front brake assembly in which the brakes manifest a significant squealing and/or grinding when the brake pedal is applied as a result of premature wear of the brakes including, but not limited to, the brake pads and/or rotors.
The complaint alleges that such symptoms are the result of premature wear of the rotors, brakes pads and brake assembly and result in the need to replace those parts prematurely and continuously on these vehicles. The complaint further alleges that Nissan, the parent company of the Infiniti brand, has refused to cover the repairs under warranty despite the fact that with prior models, such as the 2003 and 2004 G35 vehicles, they have extended the warranty to cover this defect for a longer period of time than is the case with the 2005 G35 models.
