According to the New York Times, after 14 years of marriage Rupert Murdoch has filed for divorce from his third wife Wendi. Murdoch owns more than 38 percent of the $73 billion media conglomerate News Corporation, which owns assets like Fox Broadcasting, Fox News and 21st Century Fox.

The Times reported that Murdoch filed for divorce in the New York State Supreme Court, saying the relationship had been “broken down irretrievably.” A representative for News Corporation said that the divorce would have no impact on the company and that Wendi had no financial stake in it.

The Times reported that the divorce could be contentious, as Rupert’s divorce from his second wife Anna, in 1998, cost him $1.7 billion, including $110 million in cash.
