Not only is Volkswagen in hot water with the Environmental Protection Agency, but it also faces more than 350 lawsuits from individual consumers related to its diesel gate scandal. Now, judges are gearing up to decide where to send all of these cases, an effort that likely won’t come without controversy.

Soon, a panel of judges is expected to assign the cases against Volkswagen to a single court to streamline the litigation process, reports The New York Times. Then, a judge will appoint only a small group of the plaintiffs’ lawyers to represent the cases.
