Did you know our very own Gary Graifman represented some large names in the entertainment world, including hip-hop group 3rd Bass, producer/director Ken Russell and actor Elliot Gould? 1460141_1

Graifman was featured this month in The Hook Magazine, a Lower Hudson Valley community publication. In the piece about him, Graifman described his time in entertainment law, where he also represented notable photographers Garry Gross, Bob Gruen and George Burris, as well as the modeling agency, Click Model Management.

To read the piece, you can visit the magazine’s website by clicking here. Gary’s story is viewable beginning on page 35. Gary got his start in law through litigating entertainment cases involving the right of privacy and right of publicity, founding the law firm Atlas & Graifman before becoming a partner at Kantrowitz, Goldhamer & Graifman, P.C.

As told by the magazine, Gary spends significant hours on the details of his cases, often stopping by the office to work on class action lawsuits and employment cases during the weekend. He does this because the cases require a tremendous amount of preparation.

“Extreme preparation,” Gary explained to the magazine, requires a great deal of research and an eye for details.

What Is a Class Action Lawsuit?

Class action lawsuits allow customers who have been affected by the negligence of a business to receive compensation.

As Gary mentioned in the magazine, the cases are often of the ‘David and Goliath’ nature—as individuals serving as plaintiffs can be representative of a group of people wronged by a major company or corporation.

The benefit of bringing a class action is that when damages suffered by one individual or a group are too small to sue individually, acting on behalf of all others often makes the most financial sense for a case to move forward.

Our firm has worked on class action litigation involving securities issues, defective products and consumer fraud. If you have an interest in speaking to Gary Graifman about a potential class action lawsuit, call us today.
