Rory J. Bellantoni joined Kantrowitz, Goldhamer & Graifman, P.C. in 2018. As a former Acting Supreme Court Justice in Westchester County, Mr. Bellantoni offers valuable insight into the dynamics of our adversarial legal system; insight that provides him with a rare and unique perspective from which to counsel and advise our clients. Judicial experience, and the perspective it brings, is a rare and sought-after commodity in the private practice of law.

Mr. Bellantoni earned a Juris Doctor from Fordham Law School and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Fordham College, where he was an Honor student and inducted into the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa honor society.

Mr. Bellantoni is admitted to practice law in the State of New York; the Federal District Courts of the Southern, Eastern, and Western Districts of New York; the Second Circuit Court of Appeals; and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Mr. Bellantoni has experience in criminal law (prosecution and defense) and civil law, having litigated personal injury, medical malpractice, commercial matters and defamation claims throughout New York State. He has also handled claims for violations of New York State Executive Law and Labor Law and New York City Human Rights Law. He has represented teachers, lawyers, and judges in disciplinary proceedings, and has handled a wide variety of matters in New York Family Courts.

In Federal Court Mr. Bellantoni has litigated claims for First Amendment Retaliation and Prior Restraint, violations of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, including the Pregnancy Discrimination Act; the Civil Rights Act of 1866 (Section 1981); the Civil Rights Act of 1871 (Section 1983); the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA); and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973
