Do you have young children and own a stroller? You may want to check the model to make sure it is not part of a massive recall that has reportedly led to finger amputations. 
According to TIME, Graco has recalled almost 5 million strollers after there were 11 reports of fingertip amputations, a partial fingertip amputation and a laceration associated with faulty hinges.
The hinge, located on the side of the stroller, can reportedly pinch a baby’s finger—the company is reaching out to parents saying that a repair kit will be sent to parents next month. Until then, owners are being asked to use caution.
“While waiting for a repair kit, caregivers should exercise extreme care when unfolding the stroller to be certain that the hinges are firmly locked before placing a child in the stroller,” Graco said in a statement.
The recall pertains to strollers with model names Aspen, Breeze, Capri, Cirrus, Glider, Kite, LiteRider, Sierra, Solara, Sterling and TravelMate. In addition to the United States, the recall extends into Canada and Mexico.
