(“Earthlink”) residential DSL and/or telephone service and were charged for services and/or cancellation fees after requesting cancellation.
Numerous Earthlink customers could not connect to the Internet. When they attempted to cancel their accounts, Earthlink made the process difficult and often continued to charge the monthly fee. In addition, Earthlink charged a cancellation fee as well as shipping and handling for the return of their modems. Customers were not reimbursed for these charges.
