Although it is rare, it is not prohibited for someone seeking a divorce to change his or her mind during or after the process in an attempt to reconcile with an ex. divorce

Maintaining a healthy relationship can be incredibly difficult. It is possible that through a divorce, a couple could realize that many of its problems could be hashed out through communication and/or therapy, leading to continued romance.

Remember, there are no restrictions in New York or New Jersey about being remarried following a divorce, although there are very brief waiting periods. In New Jersey, you have to wait 72 hours following a divorce to apply for a marriage license; in New York, the wait time is only 24 hours.

Additionally, if you are in the process of getting a divorce, you can always seek to dismiss a petition, should you choose.

Recently, People Magazine reported that former Baywatch star Pamela Anderson was seeking to dismiss her pending divorce to her husband Rick Salomon. According to the news source, Anderson filed a petition on August 21 requesting that her divorce filing be dismissed.

According to People, Anderson and Salomon married first in 2007, but that marriage was annulled two months later. In October 2013, she acknowledged they were still good friends with benefits, and in January, she revealed they had secretly married again, the magazine reported—but by July, she had filed for divorce.
