Our Real Estate Attorneys
KGG has extensive experience in representing clients involved in the sale, purchase or lease of Commercial Real Estate. Gary S. Graifman has been involved in the review and negotiation of hundreds of commercial and office leases of various kinds and has written on the subject (See Negotiating A Commercial Lease-- From the Tenant's Vantage, Gary S. Graifman, "The Rockland Business Digest," Vol 1, Issue 5, April 2007). In addition, the Firm has represented various companies and investors in the purchase and sale of commercial properties. Recently, Barry S. Kantrowitz guided the JCC Rockland through the purchase, gut renovation and development of a 15 acre, 135,000 square foot property in West Nyack, NY.
The site required extensive municipal approvals to be developed into a multi-use community center, sports and athletic facility. The Firm assisted in the negotiation of the acquisition, handled various legal issues arising during the development and build-out of the facility, and was integrally involved in the IDA Bond funding of the project.
The Firm has also represented landlords and tenants in litigation concerning real estate issues. These include the use of easements, zoning issues, breach of contract issues and related matters. When Solomon Equities and its partners built an office building at the corner of Fifth Avenue and 55th Street in Manhattan, Mr. Graifman was directly involved in the litigation protecting the neighboring property of Harry Winston Jewelers which was affected by the construction.
